What your coach says mid-set
- “Body tall, no leaning”
- “Toes point forward the whole time”
- “Small controlled lift out to the side”
Common mistakes
Leaning away to lift the leg higher
Stay tall and lift the leg only as far as your body can stay upright.
Toes turning out as the leg lifts
Keep your toes pointing forward so the outside of your hip does the work.
Felt it somewhere else?
Where did you feel it?
Felt it in your hips
Shorten the lift. A small range with your body tall works the right spot without the pinch.
