Kettlebell Windmill
- Reps
- 10–15
- Kit
- Kettlebell
How to do it
- 1
Press the kettlebell overhead in one hand and stand with feet wider than shoulder-width — toes angled away from the arm holding the bell.
- 2
Breathe in, then keep your eyes on the kettlebell as you hinge sideways — slide your free hand down your back leg toward the floor.
- 3
Breathe out as you push through your hip and return to standing — keep the bell overhead throughout.
- 4
That's one rep — move slowly and with control at all times. Repeat, then switch sides.
Where you should feel it: Your sides, hips and the shoulder holding the bell.
What your coach says mid-set
- “Eyes stay on the bell”
- “Push your hip out to the side”
- “Arm stays straight above you”
Common mistakes
Bell drifting forward as you lower
Keep your arm straight up and your eyes on the bell. Lower only as far as the bell stays put.
